Infrastructure

The first stages of infrastructure development in the community began in 1973, when primary water and sewer services were built to serve the local school, teacherage and some community buildings.[1] Infrastructure planning and development is on-going; and today, key elements of the community’s infrastructure include numerous facilities, equipment, water and sewer systems, roadways/ transportation, power, communications, and waste disposal.

Goals

  • Update community plans to assess current infrastructure needs and future requirements for facility upgrades, new build priorities and alignment of services.
  • Improve and maintain road conditions within the community.
