Culture
Dene culture and traditions are celebrated and valued by Black Lake. Working together, celebrating together, respecting the land, water, animals and air, and respect for Elders and traditional knowledge are important values shared in Black Lake.
Goals
- Organize cultural programming and events that include all members.
- Develop programming that teaches traditional practices and land use.
- Expand access to Dene language instruction.
- Ensure protection of traditional and cultural sites.
